I'm not really sure what the problem would be, there is a alignment bushing on the rear of the trans that fits into the driveshaft. I've never had any trouble getting it in. Sometimes I need to pry against the donut a little to get the bolts thru, but it usually doesn't take much persuasion. Are you installing the front into the trans before bolting up the rear? That is how I have always done it. Good luck.

Did you paint it? It might not fit if it's been painted.

must have been an alignment issue ... loosened the transmission bolts a bit and used a adjustable wrench against the spones adn use a cross member like a lever and it slid right in.... what a noticeable difference in the pick up... guess i was loosing more than i thought with a floppy drive shaft...so new donut new ujoints and center support...thanks for your help....matt
