Hi, All,
I am getting ready to purchase my neighbor's '77 Spider with 38K original miles. It is in very good condition, always garaged, no rust. He is asking $3,500, does that sound about right?
Thanks, looking forward to joining your ranks!

Buying a 1977 Spider
Re: Buying a 1977 Spider
good, low miles. No rust is a big plus. OK top, tires, paint, interior? You will certainly want to look over all things mechanical, and the rubbery bits that dry out over time. But if it runs well as you say, and the cosmetics are good, then you can have yourself a pretty sweet ride for a good price.
Just to make you feel better, look on craigslist to see around your area if there are others out there, their condition and the asking price, but if it's right next door, calling out to you, then it sounds like a thumbs up.

No rust and it starts runs and stops?
Sounds like a deal to me.

The no rust and low miles is a big deal with these cars. The price sounds really good.
