Hello Spidermen (and women),

First time here. I just purchased a low mi (14k) 1981 Spider VIN # zfaas00b48183107

It's in very good shape and runs like a champ.

Any ideas where I can find out more about it's history?

I'm in NY and it was in MA for the past 3 years. As far as I know it was in heated storage in Mississippi for 15 years prior.

I cant find the color code sticker anywhere, is there a resource to determine this from the VIN?

Also, need a jack and a spare if anyone knows of one.

wow i think you win the prize for low mileage! You can do a bit of detective work by tracing the cars history with a service such as "CARFAX" which can potentially get you info on when and where the car was registered and the number of miles on it at the time, that being said these things can be fudged so it's not 100%

Color code stickers went on the underside of the trunk lid for later spiders. If it's not there, then you may have to dig. '81 Fiat paint colors with PPG codes are available here.

I checked under the trunk lid, nothing there

My car is the same color combo as the car featured on the home page here.

Anyone know what color red that is?
