hello ,I have a problem :
the lower controlarm is bolted to the body with 2 bolts. One bolt is fixed to the body, the other one ( most to the front of the car) is loose, a 8 cm bolt with a "rounded head". Should that bolt be welded or is there another way to put the required torque on that when refitting the lower controlarm ?
thanks in advance, Geert.

Re: lower controlarm
Yes, It should be welded to the cross member. Look for other cracks in this area also. This is a very common problem and many of us here have welded and reinforce the cross member area around these bolts.

Re: lower controlarm
thanks Ted, for your information.
Could I put a new bolt ( 8cm, 12mm ) with a hexagonal head so it would also be possible to torque ?
