Hi my name is Rick, and live in Tacoma, WA, not to long ago I bought a 1979 spider. I bought it for 500 bucks. Reason why I bought the car was because it was cheap and a rag top lol. Not knowing what I was getting into, after I bought it and now have a big list of things to fix, brakes, new windshield, new wiper motor, console, and as I've read in a few places gotta love that eletrical, everything else is fine. I haven't driven it yet :? Omg I talk to much lol.

Welcome aboard Rick. I got bit by the spider bug over ten years ago when I was 17. Chris Flores has also had fiats since he was 16. They are a great car to learn how to turn a wrench on. They are very simple to work on. With the great tips and advice you'll receive from people on here, there is nothing you cant do.

Hi, Rick. Never too soon to start.

The sooner you start, the easier it is to become addicted.

Start with the brakes. T'ain't a good idea to make it go, if you can't stop. Everything else can wait, cuz if you aren't safe, you aren't nuttin.

I got my first Fiat... for free... when I was 16, from a friend who never learned to drive stick. It's 16 years later, and I've now got Spiders #3 and 4. And I'm going to look for Spider #1 the next time I go back to my hometown. The guy I sold it to had it up on stands in his driveway for years. If he's still got it, I'm going to try and buy it back.
