Intermediate tie rod question

During motor/trans removal we inadvertantly abruptly set the engine weight on the intermediate tie bar.

Is the tie bar supposed to be arrow-straight, without any bow or bend?

Its bent a bit already. The center link is also solid steel bar which would take roughly 1000lbs resting on it to bend permanently.

agreed, the rod ends would fail, before the bar will bend
