Thermovalves

I have sprung a leak from the tubing the goes from my engine to the thermovalve. My questions are, how do i remove this section so i can repair it? Also what sizes are the vacuum tubes in the car? I have a 79 spider 2000. Is there a place i can purchase the color tubes, i have a few of them that are really brittle, or would you recommend replacing the tubes with a straight shot and removing the colored tubes all together? I do have the manual and have a good idea of where the tubes go it just does not have sizes or how to physically remove the thermovalve. Thanks all
