This is what I did to make them fit through the control arm. I only had to remove a little weld. The control arms are new. A little paint and good as new. :P

Brady,
I had the same issue with the Konis, the old shocks slid right thru, but the bigger Konis got stuck. I ended up putting a little white grease on them and jamming them thru. :? I talked to a freind after and he had the same issue, but also got them in.

I finally found my e-brake cable. Guess where it was?
It was lying where the back seat would be. No wonder I couldn't find it. I searched everywhere else.

Hi Guys,
I tried one of those clay bars on my windshield and wasn't impressed. I have been dreading the windshield frame since it looks pitted and seemed to need rechromed. I pulled it out today. It looks like the last PO didn't care about over spray and sprayed the rubber. I tried acetone and it didn't work. I used Rust-O-leum wax and tar remover I purchased from Autozone and it took all the paint off with some rubbing. It wasn't easy. I used this to clean off the frame too. It took a lot of the I guess road grime I thought was pitting off. I finished it off with Autozol metal polish I purchased at Eastwood. It took off the remaining pitting. I was amazed.
This frame looks great. I thought I'd share this with you. I bet what you think is pitting on your frames is actually road grime so get to cleaning them and thank me later. :P

I haven't had any luck with that. I was able to choose from three parts cars. I just threw a windshield away yesterday because of a scratch.

Griotts Garage sells a windshield polish in two different strengths that I've had some luck with before.

I used the normal polish to remove some wiper scratches and then the fine polish to smooth out some general scratches. This was on my VW Vanagon windshield, but should work fine on the Fiat.

I'll let you know how it works. I just bought both bottles. GRIOTS has a 15% off and free shipping deal now.

How did you use it? By hand or machine?

My dad buffed some wiper scratches out, but it left that part of the glass looking a bit blurry when looked thru.

I received Griots glass polish today. I spent about 1 1/2 hours working on by hand then got tired and pulled out the buffer. I didn't want to use the buffer because it's actually a drill with a polishing tip on it.
I spent about another 1 1/2 hours on it. I do have to say it did take the wiper scratch out a little. You can still see it if you catch the light just right. It does take time to do and the glass is clear. Maybe if I had purchased the glass polishing pad they offered. It would have been real nice to use the 3" buffer too.
I never did use the fine polish. If you have a really nice windshield, this polish would be great to put it on just before a show. It makes the windshield glisten.
