Hi Cos,
What is the color on your car now?
I am interested as it looks like the factory color on my car now.
You are making me consider restoring mine back to original color when I do repaint.

long story about the colour. Basically i restored a Fiat 500 for my wife 3-4 years ago and we simply went to a local paint supplier and she chose the colour. I thought it suited the 500 so well i decided to paint the spider using the same colour. I just kept the supplier's paint code for reference.

no probs, i'm in Europe, time difference doesn't help. And i'm doing 25 hour day shift at work. That doesn't help your nerves either.

my first free weekend off work this month, and time to fit the gearbox and prop in the car. The gearbox had a strip down and bearings replaced a few months ago so it was ready to go.
Prop was in good condition, but i replaced the UJ and the bearing, powder coated it and re-balanced. When taking apart do mark with a centre punch, so joints go back together in the same position.

brackets back from plating!
gearbox, ready for install
prop all assembled, ready to go
and gearbox done.
This is a 2 man job, but i thought better and tried to do it on my own. Not a good idea! I wrapped the gearbox in layers of bubble wrap, so it didn't scratch the paint in the tunnel, lifted the front end and rested in various pieces of wood, and gradually jacked the other end till the bracket was in possition. No damage to the paintwork, thank goodness.
