Can engine block be fixed?

I can't tell from the picture, but I need to ask about the cap bolt that you used to plug the aux shaft. Did you make sure that it does not plug the oil path from the hole down the center of the shaft to the cross hole at the rear bearing suface? You need to have a clear path for oil to go from the front bearing, down the length of the shaft, and out the cross-hole in the rear bearing, or else the rear bearing will not be lubricated.

After it was done I filled the shaft via the front hole until oil came out on the other end. So it should be fine. The bolt went in about 3/8".
