Ahh perfect! I've never tried hammer and dolly...should I be worried?

body hammer are very light weight. Pounding against a dolly can stretch the metal, so do easy. Also, the metal inside the wheel well must be free of undercoating so the dolly can sit flat on the metal. Harbor Freight has a very inexpensive hammer and dolly set and they work very well.

:cry: I just noticed last night that there was all that undercoating in there...so sick of dealing with that junk!

I'm hoping I can get down and pick some tools up tonight and get some more work done! Unfortunately I have to take my pup into the vet first, he started limping around last night :cry:

Watch out for Lyme disease on the pup. My dog had it and it is debilitating, can cause permanent damage. I had it myself in 2002, couldn't walk for over a month.

Unfortunately he has Anaplasmosis, which is like Lyme's :cry:
So now he is on meds for a month. No work got done on the car last night.

He's a great pup, and not even two years old yet. I hope he starts feeling better soon, hate seeing him down and limping.
He always likes being around when I'm working on the car, except he usually sneaks up and gives kisses when I come out from under the car!

Well, after finding out the my pup has lymes :( I had to take some time off from working on the Spider.

Walking back into my garage I realized I have too many projects going! lol

Working on the Fiat, my 1978 Sachs Balboa moped and that wood in the foreground is my attempt at carving my own long bow for hunting!

Been tossing around the idea of matching the Fiat to the Sachs in color. But I'm not sure I can get myself to leave the red behind...

Ha!

I love the red on the car, and I can only imagine I'd love it more with a fresh, clean paint job.

Just for some reason that green on the Sachs stands out to me too. Can you believe I only spent $50 on that scooter and it's all original.

Well started on the drivers side rear wheel arch...unfortunately this is the better of the two.
So if you buy the replacement arch, do you cut out all that's there? Seems like there is another layer of metal behind the arch?

For the rubber bushing in that picture, can you replace just those? Or are you better off replacing the whole thing?

Man you really have your work cut out...
Once you cut the outside bit off you will be able to repair the inner sections.

The rubber bushings are available for trailing arms and pan hard.
I would start soaking those fasteners with PB or WD and get those loosened up.

Do they make replacement inner sections anywhere? or is that something I will have to build from scratch?

I'm starting to wonder if I should just save myself the $$$ and run her until she won't run anymore and then part it out... :(

Hate to even be thinking that way, but the more I dig into it, the worse it gets.
