Ken, does your Spider float?

Nope, but she's inside with the Jag, nice & dry.

The Jeep, on the other hand, is getting quite a workout!!

Totally off topic, but due to about 5" of street shrapnel, I had to get some new tires for the "new" Jeep. Settled on Goodyear Fortera Triple Treads and I am MIGHTY impressed in the rain!! They are really a super upgrade from the stock Wranglers. Understand GY also makes a "triple tread" in a passenger car tire as well, so if anyone is in the market for new tires, you might want to have look. (We never go off road, so these dry-rain-snow tires will work perfectly for us.)

Cheers!!

Ken

Have had my 79 carbed 2000 for over a year now. Have had to do a lot of general maintenance to it, from timeing belt 1st week to fixing the clock last week. Brakes(calipers, pads, rotors + 4), radiator(hot down here in summer), stat, fan switch, ect. Getting close to a paint job and interior re-do. Drive it 20 miles each way 5 days a week to work. Lots of top down days here. Thinking real soon on getting rid of the manifold/carb & replaceing with 1800 new weber mech. secondary unit. Headers? any advise on that, other than that high speed custom job I've seen the pics of? Hows the stuff through IAP, had good luck previously. Anyhow, glad to be here, look forward to talking spiders....

Mississauga, Canada. Love the site and check it daily for useful tips, but have to shovel snow for now rather than driving my '85 Pininfarina! Thanks for the tips on stalling engine Cal Mark. Still to cold to check it out.
