Thanks Redline!
JD,
Tubing is available everywhere from Napa to Amazon. I got mine from amazon, 25' for $16
Fittings are available here:
http://www.autoricambi.us/product/BR4-4 ... -Line-Nut/
I spent about $30 on the flaring and bending tools.
So, a total of about $65 to have all the bits laying on your bench. 25' is enough, if you don't make any mistakes.
For anyone who doesn't get off on making or doing everything themselves, AR sells ready made kits for about $90. If you count your labor, its cheaper that way!
Course, If I counted my labor I would have a $65,000.00 Spider!

Another long week at work but I managed to test my wicked cheap foam to see if it would take my epoxy resin. It did, so today I glued up some blocks
And sanded it to the general shape, did a little fill and sand, then put a layer of 4oz cloth on the top.
I let that kick all morning and then flipped it over and put a layer on the bottom. I added a couple layers around my fasteners.
Tomorrow I will be able to fine tune the top and edges.

it's looking pretty nice. Heck, when I see your updates, it makes me feel like i didn't put enough time into my car. All the detail and originality. Your car will definitely stand out from the crowd.

Steve just got the clear on his... It's beautiful!! I'm sure he will update soon.
Thanks Neil and Jim!
I spent the day shaping my dash top. I had hoped to get another layer of glass on it but running out of energy.
I built out the area over the speedo and tach, kind of hooded. I like the line!
Hopefully I can get a little bit done this week...

A little progress...
I've got it pretty close and can do a bit more smoothing when it comes to covering it.

Like Moe said, you're haunted. Great work, scary good. Amazed at the quality of your work, and really like seeing the pics and updates. Wish I had the same talent.

I agree you have amazing accomplishments in an amazingly sort period of time.
I have been toying with the thought of a custom dash but that is as far as it goes. The central thought is to form defroster slots below windshield similar to most cars. Modifying the heater box with 2 hoses to feed the slots and eliminating the existing defroster circles. Then using the circle defroster openings for speakers.

Yup, I'm moving along a bit on it but not as fast as you! I would love to have her ready for paint before August.

Wow!!! Thanks guys!!
I have to say, as a group, I have not seen so much ingenuity, dedication and creativity in one place very often!
We all deserve a thumbs up for our efforts keeping these cars going!
Not being able to help myself, I picked up some cheap vinyl to throw on the dash. I didn't even find patience to sand the last layer of glass...
That's alright cause it's not staying. I just wanted to see what it looks like black, before I have my guy order leather.
