Just don't buy the press from Harbor freight. I decided to give theirs a try and the press broke. I took it back and got my money back.

Wow! I got rather more than I expected on my question. I am not a "get a bigger hammer" kind of guy, so I will buy myself a good ball joint removal tool and have something new and neat to add to the tool box.

Now that answers a lot of my questions. I am afraid to experience this so called winter. We are expecting low 40's tonight. The heater's on in the house... the car had both the heater and the seat warmer!

You can buy a decent one for around $15 on line. Wish I still had the link, but my computer had a viral infection and had to be purged.
