man... that looks amazing. Taking down my whole engine bay and re-doing itmight be a project for next winter... want to get the car on the road atleast a little this year...

It's a mid 80's dodge omni rack. I've done my best with the measuring and layout and hope that I am in the ballpark. I have not posted much about it since I have no idea if I can make it work. Once the beast is on the ground and moving I will post about the install.

I got a few more bits hooked up... Fuel line and fuel pressure gauge. Also tapped my breather hose into the air box.

I'll post on the seats when I'm at home. A few of the local Houston guys seem to think they're ok, and probably worth putting up a couple of pictures on. Basically - take your time with them! Your front end with those 5.25" lights - now THAT is brave.

The hill country trip is well worth making - and I'm trying to convince Mike to let us to a TDS stage in 2015.

I do get down to Florida from time to time - I think the wife wants to drop down to Miami sometime soon, and I'm sure I can find an excuse to get out of there!

No way, I've only driven the car 3 times. I'm getting it back on the road for some fun before anymore projects!

7" headlight with option for HID and integrated DRL. pretty sure it's a plastic lens which I don't particularly like.
My simple solution for DRL on the 1977... I just leave the headlights on all the time

I had something similar - then the lens melted with H4/55w bulbs!

I took some correct OEM glass fronted lights (thanks AR!) and retrofitted the parking(drl)/turn signal bulb holder via a 1" hole in the top of the housing. Like all good plans that's changed a little now as I've found some vw units that appear to fit the "square" holes nicely so I'll be swapping for just a parking light again in the main headlamp.

For HID, I found some pre owned Audi units which avoid the low quality color issues of some of the cheaper ones you can get off eBay etc, and I'm working out how to get the self levellers working.... Plus you'd get that cool effect when you power up and the lights "rake" up as they reset...

And today, I mounted my fuel pump and ran the fuel line up to the engine bay. I have clamps on order so for now... Clampless!

Ok, now that I ran that fuel line, it strikes me that I might want a check valve in it to keep the fuel from draining back. Any ideas on what type and where in the line it should go? Or, do I need it?
