Depending on the compression ratio and what block you choose, a Guy Croft stage 3 head should be able to run with 44mm IDF/EMPI carbs. The original Group 4 cars ran 44mm IDF's

I have already thought about that. And i already know at a minimum i will have to change the jetting in the 40's that i have. They are pre jetted to suit a standard engine. I may up the Ventui to 38. Not decided but i will take advice first from Guy regarding estimated power output and carb mods. Its just money money money under the hood.

Hi guys. yep for sale. No rush to sell it and am open to sensible offers. Regarding the engine, I contracted Guy Croft about a 16v original fiat engine of the period. But after a few conversations it was put on the back burner and a highly modified 8v was the outcome. The engine is not for sale with the car as I have another project car for it. Mk1 Ford Escort. Yes its an easy fit. The new engine should be around 190hp. It has ignition and carbs all attached and with be bench tested. But off course, everything's for sale at a price. Hobbies are expensive and once in a while you have to sell to buy.
Thanks for asking though.
