- Temp Sender in the center top of the coolant hoses just behind the radiator? - usually these just go out, but I suppose a temp sensitive intermittent or loose wire is a possibility.
If no fuses are blowing, It is not likely to be a loose wire short unless some wires are burnt (by-passed fuse).
Could be AFM. since if the innards are loose, worn or dirty, they can can cause almost anything.
Grounds? Have you done the whole clean-up, re-connect and coat with dielectric grease thing?
A dirty fuel tank could be one culprit, especially if it will run fewer and fewer miles before it dies each time. This would most likely ruin the fuel pump also.

UPDATE>>
Thanks Dantye, just came back from troubleshooting and saw your post.
Good news...not going to be too quick to say that this time, but...I think its good news. Started checking fuse panel with a test light. Found (as expected), the fuses that controlled hazard light, courtesy light, fuel guage, etc, were receiving no power.
Was upside down under the dash poking around and luckily found a disconnected "new looking" red wire with a spade connector. Traced its other end to a post on the starter. The wiring diagrams I had, showed that fuse #10 should have a +12v from the battery . In any case, I didn't see any supply wires coming to that fuse. Since the red wire WAS providing +12v, I plugged it into that slot and the hazard light immediately started to flash. I tightened the lug to make a more snug connection, plugged it back in and Luigi started up immediately. That HAS to have been THE problem . Hopefully that will be the last time you guys hear about this problem from me...
Thats it for now, and thanks.
