If you think of the cylindrical part as a nut, you can take a grinder and very carefully grind a side down to almost thread level before you take a wrench to it and you should be able to break the remaining metal free from the metal line connector.
Did this last summer. Just wrenching doesn't work cuz the threads are REALLY deep and corroded together from never being taken apart ( as in my case ).
Brake hose removal hints
Re: Brake hose removal hints
Thanks everyone for the help. I did get them apart eventually. Flare nut wrenches did the trick! Well that and not doing the mistake A.J. referenced.
Well I got them all except for the passenger side front where the brake line nut was either stripped or maybe a SAE sized one. Either way the wrench never fit on there. Guess I will be calling around to brake shops

Re: Brake hose removal hints
That is good news. let us know how you make out with the brake shop and what they charge you. You may want to flush some brake fluid through the lines while you have it all apart pluging and unpluging each line by the wheel until the fluid runs clean. I know it is a basic step to flush the brake lines but on occasion one of the wheels has an obtruction leading to uneven braking and brake where or srticking calipers.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
