I have heard of using a egg and bars-leak and a few other "SORT TERM" fixes. my issue with any of them is this what else are you plugging up while attempting to plug a leak for a quick fix insted of fixes it the correct way.

yes the correct way means more money out of pocket and down time of our loved machines.but the correvt way is th best. if you attempt to plug a small leak you make have a water passage internaly that maybe almost rusted closed or corsion and your quick fix may cause a complete closer and engine failer

That is a damn shame. I hope you and everyone else involved are OK. Time to look for another one?

That's terrible news. But look on the bright side, you'll have plenty of spare parts for your next Fiat.

air horns would have done me no good. she was on her cell phone in her brand new honda. too bad i took the bumpers off the back!! doh!

NADA value of a pristine 79 fiat is 17 grand. mine certainly wasn't a trailer queen but ill try and get as much as i possibly can out of the adjuster.

I'm going to park the fiat in the garage and buy a later model bmw as a daily. I really really really want to put a Japanese 4 cyl in a fiat. s2000 seems like a good platform. i spent so much money and time in the lampredi only to get an engine that was like "rudy".... alot of spirit and fun, but not a pavement splitter. as an engineer though i admire everything about the lampredi (except the top starter bolt.... Grrrr) Its just 1960's tech... even if it was ahead of its time. Then again ill probably end up ruining what it its all about to drive a fiat. FUN!

You are probably right. something about the way the car sounds in 2nd gear from about 2 to 6 grand... it really thinks its a ferrari.

I’m being quit secretive about this project I’m working on , as to not offend the oem's of us, as I do love my lampredi engines, but I’m working on a 4v/cyl 4ohc 6g72, turbo version makes 330 stock, 222 n/a stock, putting it into my scorpion project, but I have considered putting one in a spider too. Going to check fitment soon.
