Yep they have fences fore and aft beneath the rocker panel. I looked at my oddball collection of jacks tonight and found I have both types. Typical of FIAT none of them are stamped with a part number so I don't know whats what. It is likely the slotted kind is for another car and I just always assumed it was from a Spider 2000 (since that was what I owned most of the time).
