I spoke to Jeg auto parts. Looks like the Carter Pump I have on the car is on that fits on Fuel injected cars. Thats probably why it burnt out in less than 2 years. Which feul pump is recomended for a 1976 1800 cc with weber carb.
tks in advance.

fuel not getting to feul filter
Re: fuel not getting to feul filter
there is no way your car ran for 2 yrs with an FI pump on it. That is a high pressure pump and you would have fuel pouring out of the carb float bowl instantly after turning the key on. You need a low pressure pump for a carbed car. And if the low pressure pump you get is rated at 6-12psi you'll need a pressure regulator too.

Why not speak to Bruce. IAP, Vick, etc. and be done with it? How many Fiat experts do you think they have at Jegs?74SpyderGates wrote:I spoke to Jeg auto parts. ...
Re: fuel not getting to feul filter
I would like to begin by saying thank you to all that helped me in the last few days.
I just purchased a brand new pump Made by Carter.
This info might be helpful to some. The correct Feul Pump for a 1976 Fiat 124 Spider with Weber Carbs.
Is a Carter Model# P60504DP for a manual transmission. For automatic transmision it's P60504.
I paid $84.14 ( taxes included & shipped to my door).

Re: fuel not getting to feul filter
Glad you were able to find the problem. You might want to check out Rock Auto for prices too. They have yet to get my order right, but their prices are cheap!
