Help Please!!

I had a similar problem after replacing my fuel tank. Didn't tighten the float fitting down tight enough, and started to splutter going up hills or round corners.

Topped up the fuel and tightened down the float plate, and voila.

Also check the tank by removing the float plate and looking inside with a torch. I had another fuel-related problem where the car would conk out every once in a while. It would then start again shortly thereafter. Turns out that large flakes of rust in the tank were being sucked up against the pipe (missing its mech filter) and preventing flow. Once suction pressure was removed (when it conked out) the rust would fall off and let the car start and run again.

Would that be a propane or a butane torch?

If you can't find a torch, a flare works just as well...
