Hi guys,
How hard is it to change my 4.30 ring and pinion gear to a 3.90? I'm going to assume it is more involved than just swapping the two gears. Is this something that is best done by a machine shop?
Thanks,
Adam

it is more involved than just bolting in gears. Settings have to be very precise or you will have noise and/or premature gear/bearing failure

Not a easy job unless you have done that kind of thing before. Not really machine shop work, but they might. Any good repair shop can deal with it.

grab a good Spider repair manual and read up on how it is done. That will give you a good idea of what is involved.
