Do i need to open up the front water gallery in the head to do this? or will the water flow around and into the smaller gallery on the 1800 head without issues with gasket sealing? I know an early head wont go onto a later block without welding up the front water gallery, what im asking is vice versa.
Thanks

Yeah thanks Steve, it definitely looks do-able to me too.
I would think the ports on the 1800 head being 35-36mm may be a little too big on the 1400 though, even with mild cams and twin 40 DCOE's. What do you think?
