Peak Flush & Fill kit- T Filler

Post by Fiat88 »

I have one of these kits that some of you use to help fill the cooling system, I bought it for the "T" filler to put in the heater hose. I was thinking of how durable the plastic would be for long-term use, is it gonna become brittle in a year or so. I was thinking of trying to source a metal one or making something out of some small plumbing pipes at home-depot? Anyone know long it will last. Thanks.

After YEARS of having one installed, I haven't seen any aging of the plastic. Instead of buying the whole kit to get just the tee, you can buy the tee at Autozone.

The "T" itself will last a long time, its glass reinforced plastic. However the rubber seal under the cap will go out in about 2 years (daily use), however it can be replaced with a good quality garden hose washer.

Like most new spider owners I'm trying to get familiar with the cooling system and 'burping' requirement. A few days ago I stumbled across a video showing the installation of a flush kit at the heater hoses, but now I can't find it. Anyone know of a video about using a flush kit fitting to address the 'burping' need?
