Nice to find some like-minded Fiat enthusiasts. I have owned this particular spider for over 20 years and I do plan to restore it some day. It started as a daily driver, then summer only and now is summer, dry days, top down only as I try to make it last. Besides paint, pretty much every piece is original. I enjoy the maintenance and went for a spin on most sunny days this summer. I have checked in with this forum on many tricky issues and it has always provided some insights I had not found elsewhere so I am happy to officially join the forum. Perhaps there will be some opportunities for me to help others in the same way.
Cheers, Doug.

Hi Doug, welcome to the other Fiat forum.
I'd guess your snorkle is getting or about to get a workout up the hill tomorow. (gonna enact the 6 inch rule?)
Might be comming down at the end of the month, brothers 50th

Hey Chris,
Just figured out the 2 forum bit. Not a soul on the hill today. Will likely engage 4 wheel drive on the way in tomorrow.
Cheers,
Doug

Re: Hello from Whistler
As for the year of the car, the door plate says Oct '69 as well as '69 stamped on the tail lenses. That said, I also figure it is more likely a 70 however all the paperwork on the car says '69 so I have always gone with that. It does have a rather unique feature in that the side markers are a 2 lense design which may be a clue to the year. Does anyone know what other years used this side marker?
