Bought my 79 spider 25 years ago. Wrecked it, then bought it back unknowingly about 10 years ago. Whoever had "restored" it only made it look good enough to fool my starry eyes until I made it home. After I started going through it closely, I realized it was my old wreck. But I was older so I rewired the entire car, reinforced the damaged areas and drove it fondly for a couple years, then... sold it. Then almost two years ago, I got the itch again, and my son started showing interest also, so we found another, then another, then another. My wife said I needed a hobby, and boy do I got one now! Time is the most difficult factor right now, but we are slowly making progress on the first (1977). We have it driveable now, but not roadworthy. Hopefully this year we will pull it through! (76 and 81 are in waiting). How do you put a photo here besides the avatar?

Welcome Johnny - I bought mine new in 1981 and I'm getting the itch to buy another one.

Wife will kill me, and the first words will be, "where are you going to put it?"
