Clutch pedal spring extender look right?

Post by kensmith »

Ok, I ordered a used clutch pedal spring extender but it does not look right. The large end that fits the round pivot area of the clutch pedal looks wrong. It's not rounded the same as the pedal? Or maybe it goes on differently than the photo I saw posted earlier? Or wrong part?

Its got the same shape, hard to tell without dimensions, but it looks like it will work.

You should note that the big end doesn't go on the 'round' shaft, but goes on a protrusion on the pedal hub that makes the pedal pull to the floor somewhere around half pedal stroke.

Here is the hook in place. As you can see, the fat end goes over the pedal shaft.

That's a perfect pic! I thought the large rounded end didn't look right to go around the pedal pivot area so now I see it doesn't. Thanks for the pic!
