Hello Fellow Spider Fans
Hello Fellow Spider Fans
OK - I think this is my first official post. signed up last week while looking at my 1979 spider under the car cover over thanksgiving and realizing it has been siting for too long. Have owned since 1987 and rebuilt it once over many years - but 6 years of sitting has induced some garage rot, to it's time to get it back on teh road. Look foward to using this site to gain insights and share insights! for now, need to address a dead brake master cylinder, a head gasket leak, a noisy water pump, and no doubt a few other incidentals. Might also want to consider swaping out the tires I put on 20 years ago - even if they do still have some tread on them!

. . . that and anything else rubber probably needs changing: belts, wipers, hoses, donut between tranny and driveshaft, etc.sehovarter wrote: . . . Might also want to consider swaping out the tires I put on 20 years ago - even if they do still have some tread on them!
Welcome to the fun!
