Hello everyone.I just picked up a 1978 spider 124 and your Form has help already.Got the car home [ 6 hour drive ]
in the day light. I took my wife out at night with the lights on and the turn signals would not work. Then my wife ask what the red light was on the dash.It went away when I stepped on the gas.Anyway I think its a grounding problem from what I read on the form. For that I thankyou I wound not know were to start.

Welcome Chuck.
Yep, this is a great site for help. You are more adventurous than I, driving an unknown old car for 6hrs. at first pop. Then again maybe you bought a nicer car than mine was. Any pics? Picture upload tutorial here:

Hello, Chuck, and Welcome. Was the red light in the bottom of the tachometer? If so, that's the alternator charge light, and it often signals discharge at idle if you've got your headlights on. You may be able to Search the forum for an online version of the Owners Manual.
