I have a 1978/79 spider,There a two reed valves on the center of the intake and they return into the side of the air cleaner.
I was told to plug them up. Can some one shed some light on this for me..
Thanks Glenn.

Re: EGR valves
Well If you have no emission laws or inspections in your state then you can disable the AIR pump and plug them. It offers no performance gains simply by plugging them.
1978 Spyder 1800 make that 2L! Finally making real progress!
Re: EGR valves
those are part of the air injection system, not the egr. As mentioned, no perf gain from plugging them unless they've failed and are allowing exhaust into the air cleaner
Re: EGR valves
Thanks for the feed back, The problem I'm having I'm getting exaust leak from one of outlets. It sounds like there's a hole in the pipes. Will it damage anything if there plugged ?
