I have an 81 Spider that is overheating, is it a safe guess that a new thermostat would help, any installation advice?

There's been many-a-post about overheating. Properly bleeding the cooling system should be your first step. Here's a scan I found (not sure who to credit) about bleeding the system bleeding the cooling system.
