rusted rotors

pulled my wheels off and found out my rotors are rusty. do I need new ones or can I bring them to a brake shop to have them spun ?

How rusted are they. Two years rusted? or just a month or so?
If just a bit of surface rust,try using an orbital sander with one of those red or green scouring pads on them. I use that on my planer table if some wood is wet and the surface darkens up.Works great on that.

new ones are about the same price as getting them turned, about $20.00 EACH.

Surface rust is gonna disappear after the first few stops. If you are worried about it just sandpaper it off.

still same answer for 15 years sitting rust ?

After 15 years, you should be servicing the entire brake system anyway, but the rotors on my Lemons racer were pretty crusty and we just drove it up and down the road a few times, testing the brakes, and they cleaned up enough to use.
