I don't really know how to discribe the problem but I'll try. My transmission when it's in 5th gear rev's high compared to other cars I have driven, is this normal? When i shift between other gears theres a good 500-1000 rpm difference between the gears, but between 4th and 5th, theres only about 250 rpm difference. Would a new trans. from International, or another company have the same issues? Has anyone else tried this?

yes, about a 300rpm drop is the normal change in 5th gear.

Yep, your transmission is normal. Not much to 5th gear, but it does give you a little more on the highway. These cars don't have a problem revving high.
