1971 Fiat spider

I have a 71 124 Spider and am trying to find out first what part I broke

then where to find one. This part is in the trunk located in the spare tire compartment by the gas tank. It resembles a fuel filter has gas hoses coming out two places and bolts to the wall of the spare tire compartment. Does anyone know what it is and what it's purpose is? I am not finding this in any of my information. Thanks

It is a 3-way check valve for releasing any pressure build-up in the gas tank, and 2 other safety features which I can't remember right now. Your're owners manual has a very good description. Do you have the owner's manual?

If not, I will look for the info and retype it here.

No owners manual, I finally did find some information about it but have yet to find a source for a replacement. If anyone has any ideas I would be happy to hear them!
