The 1800 intake manifold I bought didn't have the 4 studs, so I want to take the studs out of the '79 intake and use them on the 1800 intake but not sure how to remove them. Any ideas, is it even possible? Thx.
BTW, I went to pepboys but couldn't find any studs of similiar length.
How can I remove carb hold down studs on intake?

You take 2 nuts and put them both on one stud. Using 2 wrenches hold the bottom one and tighten the top one onto the bottom one. Then back out the lower nut and it should unscrew the stud. If both nuts start to unscrew, hold the top nut with a wrench and undo the bottom one. Before the stud is out completely, break free the top nut. It's a bit harder to do it when the stud is out of the manifold.

It's also how you put them back in. Use some threadlock when installing them.

Apply a little heat as you use the above process.
Nothing major mind you, just a bit from a propane torch or a decent heat gun.
