New to the site Fiat owner

Post by AllyCat555 »

Hi, I own a 76' fiat spider and am on the way to restoring it slowly. The engine and exterior are pretty much done. We started fixing up the interior but we still have a ways to go. Do any of you other spider owners have any advice on cool things to do to the car that will make it looking really good? What do some of your cars look like? Post some pics :) Thannk you

Welcome to the site! There are plenty of us that have modified a thing or two to our taste. Do you have pics of your car? We'd love to see what you've done with it. What do you want to change, interior or exterior?

It's hard to make the little dog with the bouncy head stay put with the top down, and with top up, he's hard to see thru the rear window. Fuzzy dice are cool, though. Also, those purplish glowing lights under the car are wicked.

Welcome! :D

I'm located around sarnia ont, not many fiat in my city at all. But i guess that makes it even more special. Some work I hope to do on it is install some new hifonics speakers I bought, and were working on making a custom dash with a nicely stained mahogany or oak, whatever matches the steering wheel the best. I'm also begining to look into low-profile tires - maybe 16" rims would do it. I want it to be show car material one day

You must have a good garage - I spent a lot of time in the Sarnia area years ago, visiting Corunna. I can stil remember the distinct aroma from the refineries, which wouldn't be good for a paint job when it fell from the sky. There are lots of threads here about different woods and wheels - 15" might be the largest you'd want to use from an aesthetic perspective. Good luck with the rest of your work!
