Any heads up on what to expect changing out oil sensor unit? Best way to approach, Thank you for your advice.

Not hard at all. Except that when you remove the old sender you will leak some oil, so be quick. Main point is trying to get the wrench onto the unit to loosen and tighten. If the sender is mounted closes to the firewall side of the junction, be careful that you do not short out against the back of the alternator. Either disconnect the battery or assure you have taped over the back of the alternator and / or your tools.
