I'm about to change the pan gasket on my manual transmission, but can't find a torque spec for the bolts. Any ideas?

If I'm reading my old manual correctly I believe it's around 7 to 8 ftlbs.

To read a manual correctly, place it on a table, hold an espresso in one hand while gesticulating passionately in the air with the other. An Italian accent helps. Extra points for not spilling the espresso onto the pages.

I don't drink espresso. Can I drink a soda instead? And does it HAVE to be a table?

Can be a Peroni or other Italian beer, an Italian aperitivo, or maybe an Orangina or something.
Could be a workbench or any horizontal surface, really, but if it's hard, it sounds better when you pound your fists onto it.
