Hey, all. My name is Chris, and I'm nestled snugly down here in the mountains of southwest Virginia.
I'm not really new to Fiats, but I am new here. I just sold a '79 X1/9 that I had, and I also have a 72 Spider that is a restoration project. It was actually given to me some years ago, but I have been able to do precious little to it in the interim. My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a house that will have substantially more room for me to work on it, so I'm hoping that I can make some real forward progress very, very soon. Its going to need a lot of work, but I figure I have a 401(K) and the rest of my life, so I'm good.

Specifically, I live in Salem. Its about 20 minutes northeast of Virginia Tech, if that gives you any idea.gprice wrote:Welcome Chris, I am new to this site also. I am in East Tennessee, what part of Southwest Virginia are you in?

Been to Wheeling a couple of times courtesy of my job. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can make the move. The car itself is immobile right now, so it'll have to be towed from its current location. Eventually, though, I hope to have some photographs up for you folks to take a look at . . . if for no other reason than to tell me what I'm actually in for.azygoustoyou wrote:Welcome Chris,

Hey Chris! You really do need to make the drive to W-S for a little Fiat fun next year. Due to the heat of summer, it seems Labor Day weekend worked well for everyone so that may be what we do from now on. Just get on 221 to Hwy 8 and you'll be here before you know it. A plus for you is I have several 71 and 72 Fiat Spiders, ranging from completely restored to parted out in boxes so if you need any help or parts, I'm definitely equipped to help you.
Guys, if I could swing a drive for Fiatfest up to Floyd to visit another Fiat owner, you guys would absolutely love the winding roads and scenery. I'll see if Robert's willing to feed us all!
