Hello everyone,
I am a teenager who recently purchased a 1981 Fiat Spider. It's a red with tan interior and needs some TLC. I'm fairly new to the Fiat industry so i'm still learning about everything.
Well here she is:

Welcome and Congrats! You should determine when the last time the timing belt was replaced along with all the rubber hoses. Inspect the brakes, make sure it's safe and have fun!
1978 Spyder 1800 make that 2L! Finally making real progress!

You KNOW that every girl at your school will prefer that car to any of the rice-burners out there.mdrburchette wrote:Great looking car! You'll be the envy of all your rice burnin' friends.
SWEEET!!!
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!

They'll be even more jealous when I get it painted black soon. Black top, black paint, and hopefully a new black interior. And new chrome rims.

Congrat's.
Nice car. My wife won't let my teen have one for his first car. I had a convertible with a black vinyl interior once. Personally, I will not have a black interior ever again. I hate getting second degree burns on the back of my legs in shorts in the summer time.

I like the red color as it is.
If someone wants to race with daddy's car, just remember that you beat them by standing still - it's a classic Fiat.
I'm glad I am not the only one who enjoys leaving SUV's far behind on those sharp curving freeway ramps. Actually, that applies to mid-size and compact cars too.
Someone please explain to me how you add a photo to these messages.

By-the-way, I had a great time at the NJ Fiats Club breakfast at Mastori's. I learned quite a bit about my '80 Spider and met very decent, informed members. It was also fun looking at the members' various models, colors and style cars. NJFIATS.ORG

Eastlight, to add and image go to tinypic.com and upload an image from your desktop and take the code that says forums and copy that directly into the post. And i like the red to, but it is like a brownish red and has many scratches on it.
