It's getting there. All I have to do now is smooth it out. Here is my link to photobucket if you want to see more.

Just want to make sure these are proportioned right. What do you think. Need opinions please. I'm also going to fix the front ones and make them more square with the car. Other thought. Should I make these look as if they are one with the car or keep them separate. I could make them one with the car so there wouldn't be any seams and still paint them black.

I think the top is a bit too rounded but hard to tell just by pictures. I would make them separate and not part of the body. Will look better and less things to start cracking.

Thanks for the reply. :P I guess I should have clarified more. What I was looking for was if they were too big. These are already complete. I don't want to go back and change the shape. I could make them thinner though. Not stick out so far.

I think they're the right size.
What are you doing for license plate lights?
I would put the plate between the lights, not on the bottom.

Or, take it up a notch and recess the plate area on the bottom and install a light into the recess. That's probably too much customization, though.

I would make them look separate and paint them black. I think painting them the body color would look amateur. Unless of course the body color will be black! I know your work is not amateur so it would be a shame to cheapen the car's looks.

Thanks for the replies,
I think I will keep them separate. They are going to be black and the car dark grey. I thought about the recessed plate but I think it's more than what I want to do. I'm trying to get it painted before the weather gets bad. I think I like it the way it is better. With the two bumperettes on the sides. It will look good. The plate was on the top. I thought it would highlight the curves of the car better by putting it on the bottom. I have to make a bracket to mount the plate on. I have a light that will sit on top of the plate. Thanks for showing me the pic. I don't want to think after the fact. I wish I would have...

Thanks Matt,
I just bought them. They are a lot cooler than what I was going to use. Now hopefully I can take back the other lights. LOL

definitely keep the blocks separate, and I think the size is appropriate.

I got a hold of the company that I was getting my paint from. They do custom paint and modifications. Awesome work. I asked if I was to do all the prep work what it would cost for them to do the final coat. He quoted me about $1000. It was going to cost me about $550-$600 just to buy the paint if I remember right. After all the work I've done on the car. I believe this would be the best way to go. They have a professional paint booth and are experienced with this stuff. I know I would get the best finish then. Still I want to shoot a high build primer to remove any imperfections. Hopefully I can accomplish this within a month or so. :P The only thing I don't like is they want everything completely apart. That means I will have to put the doors on after paint. :|

I would have all the jams shot first then install the doors for finally paint to get the best match. Also you want to be sure the front door gap is big enough you dont chip off the fresh paint first time you open the door...seen that happen many times.
