water pump?

Post by laura79 »

I need some help with my '85 pininfarina.I put on a rebuilded radiator and now my engine stay cold. The radiator is hot on top and cold down. When i disassembled radiator everything was fine, but it's leaking. There was a little leak from water pump and so we tightened 2 bolts. There aren't air bubbles, water come out from every radiator's bolt, so how can i do to discover what is wrong? And if it is water pump, someone have a picture to show me to teach how to take off it? thank you very much.

Fix and replace any leaking parts. You will also need a new thermostat to cure your hot on top cold on bottom issue.

thank you for replies. I spoke with a mechanic and he suggested to try to see if thermostat open or not. He told me that if i see water moving in the tank the pump is fine and in my car it's moving. So now i think i have to try thermostat.
