Got in the car this morning and after driving for a couple of blocks it quite idling? When I parked it last night it was running fine.
The solenoid makes the clicking sound when I leave the key on and touch the connector to it. And before we get going, yes I do have the little white plastic piece on the choke linkage.
I keep it running with the gas pedal when stopped. When I am driving down the street it seems to run a little rough.
Oh and it is the worst carburetor in existance, the Weber 28/32 adha
Any suggestions other than getting a real carburetor?
Thanks,
John B

Re: 79 2000 idle problem
John, I have a 79 with a carb. I replaced the manifold with a 1800 single plane manifold and a 32/36 Weber. The best thing I ever did for my car!! It runs GREAT!! I also plugged the ports on the head that go the air cleaner with 18mm oil pan plugs. Just my two cents worth.... Samy

Clean idle passages. Pull soleniod, idle mix screw, carb cleaner, compressed air. Safety glasses
