Vroom vroom ... pop ... cough, gasp, wheeze

I had been out today to get the tires replaced. The sealed cracks in the air seemed to have a positive effect with my problem of not being able to restart without waiting several hours between attempts. Had to start/shut off a few times. Was pretty happy as I was zooming down the roads back to my house.

At a stop, 3 blocks from my home, I hear a pop and then all hell broke loose. I went from 4 cylinders to about 1/2 of one (from the sound of things.) I thought maybe something wrong with the car getting gas. (I don't think so any longer, but...).

I put the car in neutral. If I pumped the gas pedal, there was no effect. I put it in first and it stuttered a bit down the road to my house...making the 3 block trek at a walking speed before it gave up and stopped running. I am letting it sit for a bit as I try to get my frustration under control.

I have a new distributor cap, rotor, etc. but am going to look inside it just in case.

Leave it alone until tomorrow. Never mess with your Fiat when you are pissed. The Italian Gods of steel do not like it and take offense. It will go all down hill from there.
Go inside and break open a bottle of installation fluid, put your feet up, and relax. See what happens tomorrow and let us know what you find. Good luck, George

HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

"Installation Fluid"

HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

It did restart a few hours later...crappily though...and had enough power to move it under the carport before the rain comes. I'm positive and will be going to get a POS stereo to replace the 1980's cassette deck. :D
