Hi everyone. Just joined and recently purchased my first Fiat. 1970 850 spider. I'll post some pics when I take some with a real camera.

Welcome NJ Member, Check out NJFIATS.ORG. We are always looking for new members from the Garden State. There are a couple from Wall, Howel, Freehold, and Lawrenceville. We have an upcoming breakfast this Sept over at Mastoris. in Bordentown. Come on out with us. We always have a great time. We don't have a 850 owner so we will be glad if you can make it. Welcome to the site, George

Hi Pembroke,
We are almost neighbors. I'm over in Wall and Mike is here too with another 124 Spider.
Hope we can meet up soon.
Is your 850 on the road?

I did not register it yet. It does run and drive, I just have not gone to the DMV yet. Maybe this Monday I will get there. I got the car in running condition with almost everything you need to make it look great. All new exterior chrome, seals, seat covers, door panels, etc. A lot of it was not even needed but he bought it all anyways. The top is in great shape. All the lights work like they should.

Hi Pembroke,
QQ plates are available at MVC regional centers now. We used to go to the Special plate Unit in Trenton at the MVC but that just recently changed. QQ Historic Plates require a one time only fee of $44.00. You can get collectors insurance really cheap. I use a company out of Cherry Hill NJ. I have full coverage for around $100.00 a year. If you insure it witha regular car insurance here in NJ they kill you on the cost.
Come to the breakfast even if your Spiders not ready, George

This is a cell pic I took when I first saw the car. Door strip is already replaced. I got it from a coworker who is also a mechanic. He bought all the parts a started to do the work and bought a Ferrari since. He wanted this out of the garage obviously to make room. Got a deal for a fun car that I couldn't pass up.

NJFIAT1981, that is the way I was thinking of registering it. I won't drive it that much. QQ is what I was hoping for. I am in the process of building a detached garage and just waiting for the permit to be approved from my town so the builder can start. The Fiat has really made me anxious for the new garage. I have a toy waiting for it.
