Forgive my lack of terminology...
I think I figured out one of my many issues. Some have said that I maybe have an air leak somewhere. I think I found it:
I got some plastic weld/filler and after sanding the area and then mixing up the goo, I slathered it all over. I'll wait 24 hours before sanding it and reinstalling it and see if that does anything.

Hi,
Would you like one in excellent condition? Just taken from a 1980 that was being rebuilt. $15.00 plus shipping. I also just replaced mine prior to the parts car arrival and had cracks in the same places. Will mess up the operation of the afm. George

George,
If cutchaguy doesn't take it I will. I also need the metal frame out of the passenger side visor if you have one.

OK. Give him a shot and if not it's yours. I will check on the visor. George

Re: Crack in Plastic Air Duct
Thinking about this problem, and has anyone tried, after cleaning, using a P-Tex candle. The ones used for repairing the base of your skies after a few runs on a advertised base of 30 inches when really is only 10 inches and the rocks are 12 inches.
The stuff is easy to apply, bic to the end and as it melts line it up with the crack and see if it runs in and forms a seal.
Just wondering if it might work

Re: Crack in Plastic Air Duct
I think I will get it from you George as I have come to realize it is better to be safe than sorry. Check your PM please.
Re: Crack in Plastic Air Duct
That crack,if there was a clamp there, probably would cause no problems. We are not talking vacuum, just normal air pressure.
Certainly a good idea to fix it however.
