Hello folks;
I live in the town of Fredrikstad in Norway and currently owns 2 spiders.
I've joined the forum for technical information and better understanding of the cars. And possibly some social chatting during snowy, depressing winter months.
I'm no good at computers & posting photos so I hope you can bear over with the lack of pictures.

I don't know, without pictures it is hard for us to ridicule your car? :x

But really we are just so glad you have come to the forum, we love to hear perspectives from across the pond. :D

Tell us about your car and what condition it is in.

It's so easy to post pic's. Just join Photobucket and click the down load button there to add your pic's. Put them on medium size so we can see the whole pic. Once the pic. is there. Copy the IMG of the pic which would be the bottom set of numbers below the pic. Paste it to the sites post. We'll be able to see the pic then.

Welcome to the site Wiggo. How much snow do you get in Norway?

Thanks for photo tips. Maybe I join Photobucket & Co some day. Or maybe not if you are to ridicule my cars

Two weeks ago there was an evening meeting at Skaraborg Sportscar Club, Sweden, some 4 1/2 hours drive from my home. They had invited the swedish Fiat Club this evening, so I just had to sneak in from Norway...

Cars are:
1980 CS0 (link above), bought 4 years ago. Body restored to pretty ok condition, steering box and clutch needs future attention.
1985 VX, bought 2 1/2 year ago. Mechanically ok but minor rust on driver's side front wing and door. Tired but original red paint.

From mid-november to mid-april the roads are being salted to keep open so take the cars off the road in this period. Snow depth varies in Norway as it does in the US. I live in the milder parts of the country. Last winter was hard in our parts, which translates to almost 1 metre of snow and 20 centigrades below.

Hi Wiggo. welcome to,I think, the best place for fiat advice and answers.
The cars look great.
In my logger sports days, I met a few skanda=hoovians, their words after some snapps, and will have to ask them about the fiats in their countries.
There is a VX on Van. Island I'd love to see one day, evidently brought back to prisine.

Thanks for the welcome :D
You are all from different locations in the US, well almost all of you. I know the location of Strängnäs in Sweden, but for the rest of you - I just have to dig out my old road map of USA to check out. Interesting!

The Norwegian Fiat Register (was that understandable in english?) arranges an Autumn Meeting the 5th of Sept. in Drammen, Norway. As this is barely 2 hours away, I'll post a topic on the norwegian forum to see if somebody from my surroundings are interested in a common drive over to Drammen...

Wiggo, Welcome to the fourm.

We have friends in Sandefjord. My husband lived in outside Oslo in the early 1960's and worked at the race track there. One of the jockey's and he became friends. John & his wife now lives in Sandefjord to be near their daughter. He belongs to the antique car club there. I think he has a 1965 Saab.

We have been to Norway 3 times. Twice to Oslo and once to Sandefjord. Very beautiful.

Hello Nancy, I live not far from either places. Oslo is 1hr 15min away and Sandefjord just over 2 hrs.
In '91 I worked 2 months in Houston. When the work was finished, I rented a Thunderbird and drove Houston-Los Angeles-Las Vegas-Grand Canyon-Hoston in 5 days. Exhausting, but super!

And your friend John could be with one of these clubs
