New Spider Owner
New Spider Owner
I just acquired a 1982 Spider with only 25000 miles on it and in just about perfect condition. However, there is a fuel a fuel injection problem sometimes it runs good other times it won't start. I am sure I an get it fixed. I am sure the other forms will be of great help.

Hi, welcome to the forum. It sounds like you got a great Spider, not only the best year (opinions vary), but in near perfect condition.
When I first got my 82 it had an intermittent no start problem also. In my case it turned out to be the inline fuse (in the rat's nest of wires behind the fuse panel). The factory fuse holder was not maintaining good contact with the fuse. I changed it out to a normal AGC type inline fuse holder and it's been perfect since then. It may be something else in your case. Do you know if the fuel pump is running when it's not starting?
