Back when I first got my `77 spider, in `88, I replaced the stock air cleaner with a rectangular one from Bayless Racing. I don't know that it made any improvement in the performance, but it looked better and sounded much better. (I love its guttural growl!).
Alas, Bayless Racing appears to be gone and the cover of the air cleaner is spotted with rust. (It was, frankly, a pretty crappy unit). Anyone have a suggestion for a replacement? Or if not, a source for a replacement filter for the one I've got?

Try here. This is where I got mine from. I had to modify it a little when I had the stock carb in her.

I have the rectangular air cleaners in stock. There are a couple of different models depending which carb you have. I also carry the replacement filter elements

Mark, Is it allowable for you to post the link to the suggested replacement for a 1977 with standard carb? If not please PM me. Thanks!
